Yes, you read that correctly. Is that a scary headline or what?

I’m really sorry, but I just had to warn you before you read the rest of the post…because well…I’ve been keeping a secret from you!

Get ready! Mwuaha!

Hahaha.

Okay, but before the confession, I have a clarification to make first.

So The Chase comes out in exactly ONE WEEK (next Thursday)! Eee! So I don’t think I’ve ever clearly mentioned this, but it’s volume 1 of a three-book novella serial! Each volume will beout 1-2 weeks after the previous volume, and all three volumes will be out by the end of June. So get ready!

Okay, and now on to the confession. *Breath* Are you ready?

I’m a man.

*GASP!* WTF?

HAHAHAHAH JUUUUST KIDDING! LMAO!

Okay, I’m highly caffeinated this week and I had to get that off my chest. Please excuse that outburst!

Hehehe.

So, the real confession:
I have another author pen name.

*small(er) gasp!*

Okay, some of you may have heard of this pen name before, because you may have read a short story anthology last summer that included this name. I’ve only written a cupcake cookbook and a short story under this anthology under this author pen name.

So who am I as well?

I’m Chloe Harrison! Surprise! Hahaha.

Chloe was in the Summer Fling short story anthology Jessica Wood was in last summer. I wrote “Confessions of An Online Dater” under Chloe as well as wrote “Love Across the Atlantic” under Jessica. You can find the anthology here:

Do you hate me now for hiding this truth from you?

Gosh, I hope not!

So I wrote under Chloe because sometimes, I enjoy writing funny romance that’s a bit more lighthearted and fun, and I wanted to test it out under Chloe. I know that readers often expect a certain style under Jessica Wood, and it would only confuse you all if the style changed too drastically and you wouldn’t know what to expect with each upcoming book. I wanted to prevent that issue, which is how Chloe Harrison came about.

Chloe’s books will be more funny and lighthearted with less sexy scenes. I think you could tell the difference between what Jessica Wood and what Chloe wrote in the anthology.

So, why am I confessing this deep, dark secret to you now, you ask?

Well, I wanted to let you know that I’m going to publish my upcoming book XOXO under “Jessica Wood writing as Chloe Harrison” later this summer. I really love the storyline I have for XOXO, and to me, I envisioned a funny, quirky romance about a girl who falls in love with a guy who sends her an email confessing his love and apologizing for fucking things up. The problem was, the email was intended for someone else, and not our heroine. And of course, the funny parts come in because our heroine decides to pretend to be this other girl, and an email relationship forms. It was more fitting as a Chloe book than a Jessica one.

Okay, that was all. That was my confession. Aren’t you relieved that I’m not a man? I’m glad I got that off my chest. LOL.

Love ya!
Jess
